Code of conduct

Respectful community netball

The Netball Australia Code of Conduct sets expectations for respectful, fair and safe behaviour across players, coaches, officials, parents, volunteers and spectators.

KNC's poster summary highlights four simple principles: show respect, play fair, keep it safe and be a good sport. Abuse, discrimination, harassment and unsporting behaviour have no place in netball.

Club behaviour expectations

  • Respect players, coaches, managers, umpires, volunteers and spectators.
  • Support young officials and developing umpires.
  • Raise concerns through the club instead of confronting officials directly.
  • Help keep games, training and events safe for children and young people.

Child safety

Netball Queensland child safety standards began on 1 April 2026. KNC aligns with those standards, the Netball Australia safeguarding policy and the working-with-children requirements that apply to club roles.

Photography and media

KNC uses photos and videos to celebrate players, promote programs and share community spirit. Permission can be withdrawn by contacting the club in writing, although previously published material may not always be removable.

Grievances

KNC encourages informal resolution where possible. If a concern cannot be resolved, complaints should be put in writing and sent to the Club Secretary for review.
